Species: | False Blister Beetle (Sessinia punctum)This Photo: | 🔍S1, profile🔎 | Synonyms: | Copidita puncta, Oedemera punctum or Pseudolycus marginatus | Thank you Laurie Cookson for confirming the id of this species for us General Species Information: Found in the Adelaide Hills and possibly elsewhere ~8mm long. This is shown in "A guide to the Genera of Beetles of South Australia Part 5" by E.G. Matthews; Fig 129, page 63 as Copidita puncta. None of the official synonym lists show Copidita puncta as a synonym of Sessinia punctum. We asked Laurie if he could find a reference to the synonymy and it turns out the reference was inferred, not directly listed as is the normal situation (ergo missed by the authorities).
