General Species Information:
Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA) and elsewhere
~10 to ~13mm
The "face" has a build up of scales, that we call the Nasal Process. Unfortunately the 2nd one was covered in cob web, making it difficult to see. We originally thought this was P. facetus. But on examining our 3rd one we matched the Nasal Process up in Vol 6 of the Australian Weevils books. We beleive this to be more diagnostic than the colour & pattern of the scales.
