Species: | European Earwig (Forficula auricularia)This Photo: | Male, Head | Thank you David Muirhead (DaveMMDave) for confirming the id of this species for us General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA), the Adelaide Hills, the Adelaide Plains and elsewhere ~14mm long plus pincers are a further ~7mm. Found in the kitchen, so most likely came from produce (fresh vegetables). These are considered a complex - ie recognised as multiple species within one species "complex".
