General Species Information:
Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA), the Adelaide Hills, the Riverland and elsewhere
This is the usually large, grey spider found hanging from road signs on country roads. One of the most photographed spiders in Australia. The male is red and much smaller. It is only when you see them together that his colours make any sense; ie they match her ventral colours.
