EXTRA - Photo Specific Information:
The waist in spiders is called the "Pedicel". Jumping spiders are renowned for lifting their heads and "looking at you". They can do this because of a long flexible Pedicel, which isn't usually visible; but we got lucky with this shot to be able to highlight it.
General Species Information:
Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA), the Adelaide Hills and elsewhere
Females are from ~5mm to ~7mm long.
It seems the typical orange band on the can be almost non-existant, or very strong.
