Thank you Dr Francesco Martoni for identifying this species for us EXTRA - Photo Specific Information: Here we have the legs of an instar sticking out from under the lerp (shell). With the sideview of the adult to the right. Notice how flat the instar psylloid is. It must be like a cartoon when it springs into 3D General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA), the Adelaide Hills and elsewhere We thought this was Hyalinaspis sp. There is a bit of confusion with the naming of these. The Lerp is the housing. The bug inside is a Psylloid that produces the lerp; the bug isn't a lerp. | |||||
