Species: | Black Sand-dauber Wasp (Crabronidae sp)This Photo: | Dead, Profile | General Species Information: Found on Ellura (in the Murray Mallee, SA), the Riverland and elsewhere Thought this was Pison, but Susanna Heideman told us Pison have indented eyes, unlike this one. It's also similar to many on-line images of Tachysphex (but their eye indentations are all mixed). So suspect there is a lot of confusion with online photo's with these. As such, we've put it at family level. Similar Species: Unid'ed Zebra Spider Wasp (Turneromyia sp ES01) : Small Zebra Spider Wasp (Ctenostegus sp)
